5 Things You Need to Know About Farm Tech Days!

Wisconsin Farm Technology Days are nothing short of amazing, and of course busy! Fox News said the event was “one of the biggest farm expos in the country.” The three-day outdoor event showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture, including many practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments. Here’s what you need to know about this year’s Farm Technology Days: 

  1. 2017 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is July 11th through July 13th in Algoma, WI. This outdoor event starts a 9am and ends around 4pm each day with  an admission of $8.00 (12 and under are free). Enjoy free parking! Contact your local Rural Insurance Agent for discount tickets.
  2. Largest Agriculture show in Wisconsin!
    There are over 45,000 attendees each year, as a result, it is the largest agriculture show in Wisconsin! The planning committee begins planning each event 3 years ahead of time. The first Farm Tech days was in 1954, known as Farm Progress Days and was held in Waupaca County.
  3. Kewaunee County is this year’s hosting county.
    Farm Tech days are held in a different county each year, and this is the first year the event is being held in Kewaunee County. The Kewaunee Country agriculture industry provides over 2,000 job, with 81% of the county land being used for farming. Overall, they contribute $423.9 million in economic activity.
  4. Ebert Enterprise is the Farm Tech hosting farmer.
    Randy and Renee Ebert started their farm in 1987, after purchasing from Randy’s parents. They have over 50 employees, 3,000 cows and 5,500 acres of farming land. For Farm Tech Days, Ebert Enterprise upgraded to a 80-stall rotary parlor and initiated a new manure handling system.
